Photo book capturing London during the Covid Lockdowns of 2020
Overview
In the depths of Lockdown, Shoreditch occupied itself by running around the capital armed with a camera taking shots of its famous landmarks devoid of people. We then compiled them all into a book and sold it to raise money for the homeless charity Shelter.
Our design thinking
We used a minimal photo approach to let the photos of empty streets breath. The photos were all taken on iPhone and we used lightroom filters to edit them before compiling in InDesign.
Finished product
We raised over £3,000 for Shelter by selling these online and sold out within several weeks. Inspiring us to make a charity sell an annual tradition. We followed this up with a deck of playing cards raising money for a local charity the following year.
