Overview
WeVat is a novel app concept inspired by the long queues at airport tax reclaim booths; WeVat allows users to claim foreign sales tax reclaims after their trips abroad without the chaos. Shoreditch Design developed visual solutions to enrich their mobile app product. We embedded one of our best product designers into their existing framework to work alongside their development team.
Our design thinking
Specialising in the Chinese market, the process had an extra layer of complexity as we had to plan the design to be used in multiple languages and ensure that the UI worked. With the framework of the existing brand and style guidelines, our task was to concentrate on the UX of the feature set. Speed, ease and efficiency were the prime goals, making a complex traditional form process as smooth and automated as possible.
Finished product
We successfully integrated a designer from our team with theirs for 6 months as they built out their latest features. In that time, we've churned out various features and flows for the product. We were grateful that the WeVat team were so happy with our work that they referred us to multiple other companies.
